If you're ever visiting the Island and enjoy taking long walks through cemeteries, as some of us do, Victoria has the place for you, the Ross Bay Cemetery, a park really. Enjoy the ocean vistas and the tree lined boulevards as you stroll through the many historic tombstones, graves and mausoleums.
It's like a walk through history, located at 1516 Fairfield Rd. Many famous Canadians and some Americans are buried there, Emily Carr and Sir James Douglas, BC's first governor, Billy Barker of Gold Rush fame and Robert Dunsmuir the designer of Craigdarroch Castle another of Victoria's spooky places, she has so many. It's one of the most historic places in the city.
A good place to spot a ghost.
